Got
a great rib recipe? Know someone who does? Than it's time to put up or
shut up! Enter your recipe in this year's KOK BBQ Rib Competition!
We'll be havin' the party in the backyard, and there'll be an Open Mic
hosted by hometown greats The Jet Rodriguez. Make sure to contact KOK here for more
specific rules, or call us at 586.566.8660.
Basic rules:
-Each contestant must enter a MINIMUM of 4 slabs of their competing ribs
-The church will have St. Louis-style
ribs available for purchase (4 slabs
for $25.00 - ordering deadline is July 20th - hit
up Jennifer Meyers for
more info...)
-Each contestant may enter whatever style of ribs they choose, but
other than
above, must purchase ribs
themselves
-Each contestant must bring ribs PREPARED. Needless to say, good ribs
take
time, so it's important to prepare them BEFORE the
competition, however
you may warm them &
sauce them here if you wish
-Ribs must be cut into single-bone pieces for judging
-Each contestant must create their own 8.5 X 11 ad for their ribs. Be
creative!
No need for the entire recipe, but tell us about them: style,
heat, special
ingredient, etc.
-Each contestant must serve their own ribs
